The symptoms of deadly asbestos mesothelomia cancer

In my recent article I have touch a little bit on the symptoms of mesothelioma cancer and in my next article I will focus more on mesothelioma treatments.Mesothelioma treatments have a better prognosis in early stage and in mesothelioma treatments, to find a cure is very hard. This is the fact in mesothelioma treatments. In order to get in mesothelioma treatments early in the stage we need to know the symptoms of mesothlioma first. In this article I will focus more on the symptoms of asbestos related cancer “mesothelioma”.
Mesothelioma symptoms actually take a long period to appeared, meaning that many years will pass between exposure to asbestos and the development of the disease and the symptoms. In fact, patients with mesothelioma typically do not get realized any symptoms until several years after the initial asbestos exposure. Because mesothelioma symptoms exactly the same with those of less serious diseases, many patients who develop asbestos cancer are unaware of their potentially life-threatening condition.
In my recent article “A brief introduction to a bad dream-what is mesothelomia” I have state that there are three kinds of mesothlomia cancer depend on the site of affected organ. One of them is pleural mesothelomia. Pleural is the lining of the lung organ. A common symptom experienced by those suffering from Pleural Mesothelioma is fluid retention between the parietal pleura and visceral pleura in the chest. The accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity also known as pleural effusion contributed to the symptoms such as persistent dry or raspy cough; trouble swallowing; bloody cough; painful breathing; shortness of breath(SOB); chest or rib pain. The symptoms develop when the pleural thickening occur as a result of fluid buildup between membrane layers. Pleural thickening and fluid buildup can put pressure on the lungs, causing problems with respiratory function. Pleural mesothelomia is the most common form of Mesothelioma which contributes up to 75 % of the case.
The second type of mesothelomia is peritoneal mesothelomia. Peritoneal mesothelomia contributes up to 30% of all mesothelioma cases. Peritoneal mesothelioma develops in the abdomen and the symptoms of this type of mesothelomia actually related to the stomach. Example of the peritoneal mesothelomia symptoms are swelling or pain in the abdomen, nausea and vomiting and also a change in bowel habits. The other symptoms related to peritoneal mesothelomia are loss of appetite, weight loss, and fluid retention.
Pericardial mesothelomia is less common then the other type. Pericardial mesothelioma occur in the sac surrounding the heart. Symptoms of pericardial mesothelioma include heart palpitations, chest pain, fatigue, trouble breathing, fever and night sweats. These symptoms are contributed by fluid accumulation and the thickening of the pericardial membrane. Because pericardial mesothelioma is a rare, its list of symptoms is not as comprehensive as other forms of mesothelioma. Pericardial mesothelioma is often difficult to be diagnosed and typically has a poor prognosis.
Hope this article can help you to know the sign and symptoms of asbestos related mesothelomia. Someone who have a history of prolong asbestos exposure and have the symptoms listed above should seek medical attention. Prevention is better than cure. Mesothelioma treatments are very difficult in the latter stage.Try to be alert on the sign and symptoms of mesothelomia in the early stage. It can result in better mesothelomia treatmens or a better prognosis.
